Situated in isolation within the vineyard, the building seeks to continue the alignment of the existing walls, reinforcing the harmony with the surroundings and the landscape. The architectural language is inspired by traditional coastal wineries, reinterpreting their essential elements through a contemporary and functional expression.
The project comprises two volumes that combine the basalt stone of the region with plastered and white-painted surfaces, creating a balanced contrast between the two proposed bodies and establishing a clear dialogue between local construction tradition and a contemporary approach. The implantation and materials adopted contribute to the integration of the whole into the landscape, ensuring visual and constructive continuity with the existing walls.
Inside, in addition to the technical and production areas, a spacious and multifunctional tasting room was designed, opening onto the landscape through large glazed openings oriented towards the vineyard and overlooking Pico Mountain. This direct connection with the exterior allows the interior space to extend to the surrounding landscape, promoting the entry of natural light and reinforcing the connection with nature and the wine-growing context.
The result is a functional and contemporary building, deeply rooted in the culture of the vineyard, which respects and values the identity and unique landscape of the place.
